Everybody loves dogs, right? And everyone like to spoil them a bit, it's just normal. The thing is that a lot (and I mean A LOT) of japanese people go too far.
These guys would dress their dogs in the most intricate costumes, ribbons and awfully cheesy accesories in the middle of a hot summer day.
The worst part is when people get these poor dogs in strollers under the blazing sun and carry them around like babies. Some often those dogs simply stop moving, like they just gave up on life or something :(
These are DOGS we are talking about, not babies. Dogs are happily related to nature, they like to sniff around, walk and run on the grass, have fun like... You know, like DOGS!! Why making their life miserable by confining them to a 60x100cm space inside a net-closed stroller every time they go out with their owner.
It's just beyond my understanding, Specially after I saw a couple carry 2 small dogs in 1 stroller, around Kiyomizu (The water temple in Kyoto), that place is full of long stairs and these people would prefer to lift the stroller and climb the stairs, than letting the dogs walk. OK I get it, maybe dogs are not allowed to step in such an important temple, then the reasonable thing to do is, LEAVE THE DAMN DOG AT HOME and some other time take the dogs for a WALK... A WALK, I mean NOT in a stroller. ¬__¬
OK... I need to breath deeply and relax.
Poor dogs, really.

Incognito Xmass "spirit"

SPOILER ALERT!! Better read comic first and then read my comments ;D
Many years ago I read or heard about this trend for Xmass dinner in Japan and I really thought it was a lie from one of those otakus out there who like to over react on how exotic Japan can be. But turns out that it is true LOL XD
The special dinner menu of your average japanese citizen is KFC Chicken (or similar) and cake. Seriously, I have no idea how this came to be, but I cannot help but suspect on KFC itself... Those clever b*** ¬__¬
And yes, the comic says FCK on purpose lol.
Even more so, Xmass is more like a Valentine's day, it is also a bit of a family gathering time, but mainly it is a day to spend with your couple and do romantic stuff.

It is late as hell for this, but I just couldn't live with myself without making a comic about my Halloween experience, which exceeded my expectations!! :D
Now... remember when Japan was all over the news during last soccer worldcup in Brazil ´cause the japanese fans started picking up the trash in the stadium after the match was over? (Even 'tho the japanese team lost). Amazing, indeed.
Tokyo is an amaizingly clean city, despite being one of the biggest cities in the world... Of course, here comes a BUT.
BUT Halloween night is like suddenly finding yourself in a country that is not Japan. Hardcore party everywhere and I mean EVERYWHERE, drunk people, people singing and dancing, amaizing single and group costumes and some others so ridiculously funny that they deserve a prize. The goverment tried very hard with a campaign to keep the streets clean, but it didn't have much success, Tokyo looked like a disaster hit zone after midnight and I am not over reacting, I swear.
If you survive the busiest pedestrian cross in the world (which becomes plain hell in the Halloween night,), you are up to endless fun and countless amaizing costumes and everyone is glad to pose with you for a picture.

Lemme explain myself
Two topics to cover:
TIME: I must say these short stories take more time that expected, schools has been crazy busy and I am kinda (just kinda) working so that leaves me with very limited time T--T
That doesn't mean I am quitting making these comics, it just means we are changing to a whenever-I-have-time system, also, given the fact that the weekly objective I had at the beggining, proved to be totally unrealistic LOL 'tho it has been working pretty OK on monthly basis. Let'shope I can keep up with that (At least!! LOL)
QUALITY: These new comics were an experiment to try to save up time. Turns uot indeed it helps a little bit, 'tho cleaning job gets a little tougher aaaaand some squares look as if I had shaded them with Windows Paint LOL (Shame on me). Stil... I think is not so bad and it makes it easier for me to keep the image in a decent size for you to read it without having to adjust every single square. Sooooo... I am keepng up with this method n' I'll work on the Paint looking shadowing.

PD. Found a misspelling in the "Bugs" comic which I corrected. Just sayin'

Bugs!! OMG bugs!

Bugs... Yes, bugs. I hate them and fear them, like A LOT. Of course I was expecting to find bugs in Japan but... Definitely I was not expecting them to be that HUGE, neither for them to be EVERYWHERE and the most important thing: I was not expecting to have that many close encounters of the 3rd kind!!
I live in constant fear v__v
Just to mention few of'em. I had a very scary (yet funny) adventure to get a giant cicada out of my room and another one with a huge flying roach in the kitchen!! I made some pretty fancy matrix moves in order to dodge them when they flew, not sure how but, I managed to get them out safely. These dudes were so damn big that no way I risk to get near them to spray them (well... If I had a bug spray lol). And then you have flying big bugs EVERYWHERE, so I am constantly and randomly making weird dodging moves while walking in the street, it's embarrassing but I cannot help it LOL.

The ultimate test

No way I can apologize enough but...I'm either too busy or too tired these days to edit comics v__v It takes lots of hours of work so it's tough. Anyways I'll try to keep up as much as possible.
Something that gets me a little on my nerves from Japan is the fact that if you go to a combini (convenience store), department store or restaurant. EVERY employee that spots you will greet you with the infamous いらっしゃいませ (Irasshaimase) and if you are standing in a small or medium size business, one employee's greet is like an alarm that will consequently get everyone else screaming "irasshaimase" from wherever they are. It can get really loud and it can get really tiring if you are trying to peacefully relax while shopping or eating in a restaurant.
You are not expected to answer or even to react to such greetings, japanese people won't even look at these guys. But personally I feel awful not to at least let them know that I've acknowledge their prescence.
Getting back to the comic subjetc. I never even got the chance to practice karate as a kid, so no way someone will buy it, had I put myself as a character in this comic LOL. So Taiyaki-san will be a useful little guy whenever I need extras. In case you are wondering: Taiyaki is a fish shaped cake with filling that can range from sweet beans to green tea ice cream. My personal favorite is sweet cream Taiyaki, better yet if it's still warm. Yummy!! :D

Looking for funky looks

Sorry! Your dumb author has been crazy busy these days. I have another comic almost ready so you can have 2 this week and the normal one by the end of the week... And I still owe you one more T--T FML
Possibly the most unimportant and vain thing you can ever read about LOL... But I find pretty funny that is nearly impossible to see a car with an actual color, meaning, one car that is not gray, black or white. Sometimes you get to see a very dark blue and that is as colorful as it gets. I even saw a white Ferrari... I didn't even know such a boring color was available for a Ferrari LOL.
It is sad 'cause I like funky color cars D:
VW is soooo not popular in Japan, never thought I would walk in a country with almost no VWs out there.
And of course there are no old cars. I must admit I once saw a classic Rolls Royce, no idea what year it was, but it was very old, of course it was a collection car in flawless condition, so it doens't count as an "old car".
